In less than one week, Kenneth Perry will embark on a grueling 7 day, entirely self supported, race from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon to the summit of the Grand Staircase. Why would someone race 169 miles through rugged terrain? Crazy?
Some may say Ken is crazy, however I find it inspiring that he is doing this to raise awareness and funds for education for those living in countries impacted by war and genocide. Please click on this link, support Ken & all those who benefit from our non-profit, Project Enlighten. We are an organization that provides educational opportunities to communities across the globe; we have programs benefiting people in Africa, Southeast Asia and the United States.
Ken is participating in this race to help us fulfill a promise we made to a group of young landmine survivors in Cambodia in 2006, a promise to provide not only university scholarships to the youth living at Akira’s Landmine Museum and Relief Center but to inspire hope in humanity.

Please help us fulfill our promise and more importantly, the dreams of these young Landmine Survivors.
